There is no better place to learn about tribal culture than the Hilltribe Museum and Education Center located right at the heart of Chiang Rai.
The Hilltribe Museum and Education Center was established to provide Tourists in Chiang Rai with basic information about the culture of the six major tribal groups in Northern Thailand. These tribal groups include the Akha, Hmong, Karen, Lahu, Lisu, and Yao.

Facilities: | Hilltribe Museum has a total floor space of about 650 square meters. We have an audio visual room that can seat 50 persons. |
Social Projects: | Each year, the Hilltribe Museum distributes sweaters and blankets to tribal people in remote villages, economically disadvantages persons, persons with HIV/AIDS and orphans. You may also drop your unwanted clothes or toys so we can distribute them to persons that desperately need them. |
